Shawn Tiedeman - Founder & President
Shawn is a Red Seal-certified carpenter with over 35 years of experience in the trades. Born and raised in Ontario, Shawn grew up on his father's construction sites and began his apprenticeship at just 16 years old, learning early what it means to do the job right. He completed his formal apprenticeship through Georgian College in Owen Sound, followed by his intermediate and advanced apprenticeship training at St. Lawrence College in Kingston. He received his Red Seal certification in Ontario in 1997 and later earned a bachelor's degree in Construction Management from BCIT.
After relocating to British Columbia, Shawn quickly established himself in the Sea to Sky corridor, contributing to some of the region’s most iconic projects, including Olympic Plaza, the Day Lot staircase upgrades, the Four Seasons, the Legends, and dozens of custom homes throughout Whistler and Pemberton. His work is known for its precision, integrity, and durability; qualities that reflect his deep pride in the craft.
Now based in Pemberton, Shawn is raising a family of four kids with his wife Liz, whose family has lived in Whistler since 1912. That long local legacy is something Shawn brings to every project, building with respect for the past and a vision for the future. Whether it's a full custom home or a thoughtful renovation, Shawn leads with experience, honesty, and a commitment to creating spaces that make sense and truly last.
When he isn't working he spends his time with his family and enjoys golfing and jet boating in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter.
